Many thanks for such an inspiring news article. Although Cognos has served its purpose as one of the best packages in the market, many corporations, especially those in the financial markets were feeling the need to expand its functionality and to increase its power in terms of capacity while easing the way it is being managed. Such introduction will be a welcome news by many Banks I know, as well as some of the large retail stores. I personally was wondering whether we were going to see a new Cognos version that would be considered a great leap forward , especially when it comes to some existing reporting and planning limitations.
